MadeByGirl: Morgan's Home Tour...(Via Made By Girl)

>> Sunday 20 February 2011

I would love to know where to find a narrow sideboard like the one behind the couch here? I love sideboards behind couches but always assumed I needed to have a big room with a couch that wasn't against a wall. But this shot has inspired me! I want one!

MadeByGirl: Morgan's Home Tour...(Via Made By Girl): "Morgan Laske was one of the lovelies that submitted her home to share with all of you! The one thing that stood out to me was super cute bar..."

Mango & Guava Love

There has been a lot of online talk of late about fake Mango & Guava dolls which some people seem to have received from Ebay.  I had mixed views and emotions about this mainly because I had just ordered these dolls before I read about the rumours!  I have to say if I'd heard about the rumours previously, it may have prevented me from ordering these dolls, and what a shame that would have been because they are real stunners!

This is Tania

And this is Gwen

I do feel bad for those people who did receive less than perfect dolls and I have to say it was such a relief when I saw those official shippers with the blue writing and the takara stickers.  I still had doubts though and found myself inspecting every inch of the dolls, and posting on flickr to ask for others opinions.  I am safe in the knowledge that my girls are the real deal.  So I appeal to everyone, PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW THESE RUMOURS FROM STOPPING YOU PURCHASING THESE GIRLS.  Simply ask the ebay seller to take photos of the actual doll you will be receiving, if they are questioning this, then be suspicious. Any reputable seller will understand and do this for you.  Or alternatively buy from an official shop listed on http://www.blythedoll.com/

So this is how my family looks now!

Happy Valentines to Me

>> Monday 14 February 2011

What a wonderful surprise when I came home to find a package from Saddle Creek Records.
The boy genius new album in a very generous package.  This is why I love Independent Record labels.  They really put the effort in.  Not only did I receive the album as an mp3 download on the day of its release, but I also got sent all this cool swag in the mail!  Plus Nate takes the time to write a personalised thanks everytime I buy direct from Saddle Creek.  Thats how you do good business.

Spring is in the air.

Sunday saw the first rays of springtime here in rainy Ireland.  I took the opportunity to clean out some old plant pots, and brought my girls outside to lounge in the sun.

Sons of Anarchy

>> Saturday 5 February 2011

I don't watch TV but I do however watch DVD boxsets of TV shows usually WAY after the fact.
I have just purchased Season 1 and 2 of Sons of Anarchy which is described as "The Sopranos on Harleys".
Couldn't be more true.  It is violent, degrading and downright frightening but I love it.
Most likely largely due to the main character Jackson, who is completely droolworthy.  Give me dirty long hair and a man with tattoos and leather anyday...of course in reality I would never let a man like this into my house to sit on my fine furniture, but in unreality world, he's quite the catch.

Jackson "Jax" Teller, vice president of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original (SAMCRO or, as they are otherwise known, Sam Crow) suddenly finds himself conflicted. On the one hand, Jax is a tattooed one percenter, an ex-con, a member of the Men of Mayhem (meaning he has killed on behalf of the club), the second-in-command of a group of bikers who make their money selling guns to whomever has the cash, primarily the drug gangs. On the other, Jax is a new father to Abel, who was born premature because his mother (Jax's ex-wife) was a voracious meth addict. And that birth has got Jax re-examining himself, the club and his place in it.

the girls next door

My Blythe obsession started fast and continues to build up speed with each passing second.  I double dare anyone to invite one of these lovely plastic perfections in to their home and not instantly fall in love.

The obsession has become quite costly of late, having just ordered 3 new dolls this week alone.  But before we get to those, I should introduce to my 3 existing girls:

Jenna - my first blythe.  She is a custom Stella Savannah by Zebra.  She is a pink candy delight with cheeks worth pinching and hair to die for.

Next is Autumn who is a Bohemian Peace and the first blythe I planned to buy (until I fell for Jenna).
I was taken with her hippy vibe and her free spirit.  She's an adorable little bundle of love.

And last but definitely not least is Allegra my Mod Molly.  I was unsure of her at first, the SBL mold isn't quite as cute + her hair was fine and creased from the box.  But after a little spa day she came out looking lovely and somedays I do think she might be my favourite (Shhhhh! don't tell the others).  She has a rockin personality and the colour of hair I can only dream of having.
